Best Western St. Francisville Hotel

The reservation clerk was not overly rude, she just wasn't real helpful either. Very dry and unwelcoming personality. The check in rate on sight was well over $20 more than their online price, so I booked online in the parking lot and came back in. The towels were ripped and ragged, the room either had not been used in weeks, or noone had been in to dust in some time. When we left in the morning, the entire hall smelled of cigarette smoke, even though it is a smoke free establishment (this is not the hotel's fault and did not affect my rating)

Stayed here for a total of 10 days for a work trip and there are little to no negatives I have to say about this hotel. My room was great. The staff was always super kind and tended to any of my needs. Breakfast was a continental breakfast and was a little different everyday which was really cool. Plenty to choose from and eat which is always nice at a hotel. The guy who ran the breakfast buffet did a fantastic job and would even come up to my table and ask to throw away my trash which was super nice of him. Also, I don’t think I heard a peep out of anyone while I was in my room. Maybe a door close right next to mine here and there but that is about it. The walls and doors seem pretty well sound proof which is a great thing to have while staying in a hotel. There are a few good spots(to eat) near this hotel which is nice. And a decent sized grocery store right behind it which is great as well. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Every floor whether carpet or tile was dirty. We were first put in a room that had not been cleaned but the bed was made. We asked to move- the lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful and said that “housekeeping has been a nightmare” she got us a new room right away. The floors had not been vacuumed in our room so I wore my socks! We put our coins in the dispenser to buy laundry soap and nothing came out, we went to the front desk and the nice young lady said she had some in her car (which means she knew there was no laundry soap) a simple “out of stock” sign would’ve been helpful but this young lady picked up the slack of the management and gave us some of her own laundry soap. this is poor management when there are not supplies restocked and every hallway/elevator floor was heavily soiled- debris like toilet paper, pen cap, sour patch kids- the stairs had not been vacuumed in months - I honestly do not know how they charge people their hard earn money to walk over other peoples dirt. I would never stay here ever again- Hey Management- fire the people not doing their job and take pride in your hotel - when I see Best Western, I will keep Driving or just sleep in my car

I want to say thanks to the management and the staff/team who made sure I was comfortable during this stay. We were in town for my uncle's funeral and had driven 8 hours to get to the hotel. Upon check-in I encountered a couple of issues. However, when I brought them to the attention of the manager he took care of each item with great efficiency. Breakfast was wonderful with hot items available. A very warm and friendly staff member made sure that although there were several large groups at the hotel there was enough for everyone. Items were restocked quickly and he did his job of wiping down areas and tables, with a smile, and without missing a beat. The room cleaning staff is amazing! After one issue occurred we had to change rooms. As we were leaving the hotel to head to the funeral we encountered the staff. They kindly asked if we had everything we needed in this new room. I can't say enough good things about the management and staff here. I've travelled quite a bit since March of this year and always stay here when passing through to my routes. I realize that with hotels many people come through, so things will break, noise will happen, and other things out of the property's control. That's just life. So, it's not what happens, it's how those things are handled and resolved. I find that this property does it right.
